Creative RevolutionHERies Begins

Updated: Apr 10

Months in the planning and preparation, we're now ready to deliver our fantastic new workshops in welding, woodwork and metalwork for women from 3rd and 4th April.

We can't wait to see our Creative RevolutionHERies come together at Rockaway and forge new relationships, as well as create something special for the Somer Valley that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

As always at Rockaway, the benches and planters will be made from reclaimed and repurposed materials, and will be robust enough to withstand the elements!

Thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped us with this project, which enables us to offer these valuable skills training sessions to women for free. Thanks to Inness Rawlinson and Ellie Ryan who've worked hard on the bid process and supported the project through the different stages, plus Stacey Pottinger at Bath Spa University and Hayley Walsh, Active Travel Social Prescribing Project Officer at Bath & North East Somerset Council.

This first post is just to kick start our progress blog with more to share in the following weeks. So, if you'd like to follow how the project evolves, keep an eye out for each update, which we'll also share in our newsletter and on our social media platforms.
